LIGHTING DESIGNER
Kaitlin is a lighting designer for the stage with experience designing theater, opera, and dance. She brings a love of character and form to her practice, always seeking layers of light that influence and underscore narratives. Her multifaceted background in design makes her a powerful collaborator in establishing the atmosphere of a story and the inner workings of characters.
Her most recent work includes designing the new production of Kate Soper’s Ipsa Dixit with Long Beach Opera and Martha Graham Dance Academy. Kaitlin has also assisted on projects like Fat Ham (west coast premiere) and A Transparent Musical (world premiere).
Upcoming projects include assisting on the Broadway premiere of Yellow Face at the Todd Haimes Theater.
She received her M.F.A. in Entertainment Design from UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television and her B.A. in Technical Theater from Long Beach State University. Along with her education, Kaitlin brings experience designing lighting for camera, hotels, private residences, and theme parks.
When not designing, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, baking a mean sourdough, and all things film or music.
